The month of April marks a difficult anniversary for one Lexington mother who lost her son because of gun violence.
But now she’s making this month about saving lives and keeping communities safe.
Anita Franklin organized Sunday’s vigil and peace walk in Duncan Park. Dozens of people and police officers came together in the very same spot her son was shot to push for cease fire. The group then walked around the community handing out information on how to keep the community safe anonymously.
